Job description

Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner locum opportunity in San Francisco, CA available. This is a full-time inpatient/outpatient neurosurgery role at a high-acuity academic medical center.

Schedule:
• Start: July 2026
• 26-week assignment with extension and locums-to-perm potential
• Monday – Friday
• 8:00am – 5:00pm
• No call

Practice:
• Inpatient and outpatient neurosurgery coverage
• Adult patient population
• Responsibilities include post-op management, neuro ICU coverage, imaging/orders, case management, and high-acuity transfer patients
• Procedures include drain removal (EVD training available)
• EMR: Epic

Requirements:
• Nurse Practitioner with ACNP/AGACNP certification required
• Active CA license required
• CA DEA with Schedule II required
• BLS required
• 1–2 years of neurosurgery, neuro ICU, or complex surgical floor experience required

Credentialing:
• Approximately 45–60 days
