Job description

Aya Locums is seeking an experienced APP for a full-time contract assignment with options to extend or transition into a permanent role. This opportunity offers a dynamic mix of inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical care with exposure to complex cases and advanced patient management.

Assignment Details
* Contract Length: 26 weeks
* Extension and locums-to-perm opportunities available
* Full-time schedule: Monday-Friday
* 8-hour shifts
* Typical hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Practice Environment
* Hospital-based inpatient and outpatient neurosurgery setting
* Adult patient population
* EMR: EPIC
* Facility receives high-acuity transfers from surrounding hospitals
* Daily census ranges from 8–20 patients depending on volume and transfers

Clinical Responsibilities
* Manage inpatient and outpatient neurosurgery patients
* Outpatient duties include:
* Post-operative follow-up care
* Case management
* Ordering imaging and diagnostic scans
* Inpatient responsibilities include management of:
* Brain tumor patients
* Neuro ICU patients
* Meningioma cases
* Complex neurosurgical conditions
* Perform drain removals

Qualifications
-Nurse Practitioners must hold one of the following:
* ACNP-BC
* AGACNP-BC
* ACNPC-AG
* ACNPC
-Physician Assistants:
* Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies required

Additional Requirements
* Active California license required
* Active California DEA with Schedule II authority required
* BLS certification required
* Minimum 1–2 years of neurosurgery or complex surgical floor experience required
* Neuro ICU experience may be considered

Credentialing & Interview Process
* Credentialing timeframe: 45–60 days
