Neurosurgery APP needed in Northern California

Job description

Contract Length: 26 weeks (options to extend and locums to perm available)
Shift Details: full time 5x8, M-F
Schedule: M-F 8x5
Work Details:
• Amount of coverage needed per month: full time, M-F weekly
• Patients per day: census varies, from 8 to 20 – depending on how busy facility is and how many transfers come in from other facilities
• Patient population/age: Adults
• Department description: Sees both inpatient and outpatient patients in neurosurgery care. Provider will work both inpatient and outpatient. Outpatient is managing post op patients, case management, ordering imaging, scans, etc. Inpatient is managing brain tumor patient, neuro ICU, meningioma, etc. Facility receives transfers of high acuity patients from other facilities.
• EMR: epic
• Special procedures: pulling drains
• Can train on pulling EVD drains, not required

• 26 weeks with the option to extend
• No call or weekends
• 5x8s - inpatient and outpatient
