Opportunity Details

Location: California

Assignment Length:
• 20 Weeks

Schedule:
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• One 8-hour Saturday shift every other week
• No call required

Practice Details:
• Inpatient Spine Surgery service
• Adult patient population
• EPIC EMR
• Approximately 30–40 patients per day shared among 3 APPs and 1–2 residents
• Focus on discharge planning, care coordination, and post-operative management
• No operating room responsibilities
• No new consults

Ideal Candidate:
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient experience within an academic medical center
• Experience supporting complex spine surgery patients
• Comfortable managing pre- and post-operative spinal surgery patients in a high-volume environment

Requirements:
• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• For NPs: ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, or ACNPC certification required
• For PAs: Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies required
• Active California License required for NPs
• PAs needing licensure will be considered
• California DEA with Schedule II/II-N privileges required
• AHA BLS required

Credentialing:
• Estimated 60–90 days
