Neurosurgery NP/PA Needed in Oakland, CA with Aya Locums!

Assignment Details:
• Start Date: September 2026
• Contract Length: Ongoing
• Schedule: Must be available for 2 full weeks per month, working 4x10-hour shifts every other week
• Case Mix: Inpatient and outpatient neurosurgery coverage, neuro-trauma patients, OR assistance (first assist preferred but not required), surgical drain removal, post-operative management, and clinic follow-up care
• Patient Volume: Inpatient census 8–15 patients/day; outpatient census approximately 20 patients/day shared with attending
• Support Staff: 2 APPs on site Monday–Thursday, 1 APP on Friday, solo APP coverage on weekends with attending and RN support available
• EMR: Epic

Requirements:
• State License: Active California NP License required, willing to license PAs
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of neurosurgery experience required, including both inpatient and outpatient experience
• Additional Requirements: Level I Trauma experience required; neuro-trauma experience required. RNFA required for NPs interested in first-assist responsibilities.
