Overview:
Pediatric inpatient neurosurgery APP coverage in Boston, MA — patient-care only, APPs do not go into the OR.

Schedule & Coverage:
3 x 13-hour shifts per week, 6:00 AM–7:00 PM, no nights, no holidays. Looking for full-time, will consider 2 weeks per month minimum. Title: NP. On Call: No.

Work Details:
Facility Type: Hospital. EMR: Epic. Patient Age Group: Pediatrics. Procedures / Work: Pediatric inpatient neurosurgery. They start the day rounding with the residents and get the plan for the patients. They will review and put in orders and see patients that "need to be seen". Otherwise they will be working on orders and discharge. Client has a resident program that assists in the OR; the APPs do not go into the OR. They are patient care only. Preferred ability to remove drains (hemovac / JP drains).

Requirements:
Board Certification: BC in Neurosurgery required. State License: MA. Minimum Experience: 1-year minimum neurosurgery experience; 1 year experience with neuro required.

Credentialing:
90 days. Willing to License: No.

Compensation & Travel:
OT is the same as regular rate; holiday 1.4x; first 8 hours of orientation are non-billable. Travel: all inclusive — local providers are ideal.
