This well-regarded hospital-based facility provides comprehensive neurosurgical services to adult and geriatric patient populations in the heart of Virginia. The facility operates as a fully inpatient setting with strong collaborative provider support and utilizes EPIC for EMR and documentation.

Opportunity:
Nurse Practitioner - Neurosurgery

Job Details:

• Locum opportunity covering 40 hours per week beginning mid-December 2026 through at least April 2027
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with no call coverage required
• 100% inpatient setting serving adult and geriatric patient populations
• Perform post-procedural daily care for neurosurgery patients
• Provide patient and family communication and education
• Collaborate with one employed neurosurgery NP on the team
• EMR/Documentation performed in EPIC
• Board certification required
• Active Virginia license required - providers who need to obtain a VA license will not be accepted
• Active ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Active DEA required
• Clean background with no malpractice or license issues - no exceptions
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 120 days
• Approved travel reimbursements include airfare, rental car, lodging, and mileage at IRS rate
