ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Hours: 40 hours per week

• Emergency/Temporary Privileges: Emergency privileges are not available; temporary privileges may be available

POSITION OVERVIEW

Seeking an experienced Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide 100% inpatient neurosurgical coverage.

The provider will work collaboratively with an employed Neurosurgery NP and provide post-procedural care for adult and geriatric patients.

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide post-procedural daily care
• Evaluate and manage inpatient neurosurgical patients
• Monitor patients following procedures
• Communicate with patients and families
• Provide patient and family education
• Collaborate with the neurosurgery team
• Work alongside one employed Neurosurgery NP
• Assist with ongoing inpatient patient management and care coordination

REQUIREMENTS

• Board Certified – Required
• Active Virginia License – Required
• ACLS – Required
• BLS – Required
• DEA – Required
• Clean background
• No malpractice or license issues
• No exceptions for malpractice or licensing issues
CREDENTIALING

• Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 120 days
• Temporary Privileges: Available
• Providers should be prepared to submit a complete credentialing application promptly.
