Coverage Type: Scheduled, No Call
Contract Length: Ongoing

Shift Details:

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (5x8s)

Setting: Hybrid – 70% outpatient, 30% inpatient

Work Details

Support Staff:

Outpatient: Surgery scheduler, MA, scribe

Inpatient: Works directly with surgeon; more independent role

Coverage Needed: Full-time (4 weeks/month, 5x8s/week)

Patient Volume:

Clinic: 15–20 patients/day

Surgeries: 5–7 per week

Patient Population: Adult

Department Overview:
Department manages inpatient and outpatient neurosurgery patients, including pre-, intra-, and post-operative care.

Special Procedures: Drain removal, basic wound care, suture/staple removal

EMR: Epic

Hospital Size: Large regional medical center

Requirements

Board Certification:

NPs: ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, or ACNPC

PAs: Master’s in PA Studies

License:

California license required (will consider licensing for PA)

DEA: Required – California, Schedule II/II-N

Certifications: BLS and ACLS

Experience:

Minimum 1 year required

3–5 years preferred, with strong neurosurgery or complex surgical experience

Practice Summary
