Neurosurgery Physician Needed in Anchorage, AK (Will license)

Job description

Location: Anchorage, AK
Start: June
Assignment Length: 26 weeks (ongoing/indefinite need)

Schedule:

Day shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
One week of call/clinic coverage per month
Call week includes 5 days of clinic/OR and 7 consecutive days of call
One weekend call per month
Beeper call with 20-minute response time
Call volume: a few callbacks per week; ~2–3 consults per night

Practice Setting:

Level II Trauma Center (adult and pediatric)
Team includes 2 neurosurgeons and 2 APPs
Support staff: nursing, schedulers, and CMAs
EMR/Technology: Cerner, Sectra, Medtronic StealthStation

Work Details:

Clinic volume: ~10 patients per day
OR volume: up to 3 cases per day
Urgent OR cases: ~2–3 per week

Requirements:

Board Certified (ABNS/ABMS)
Active or eligible for Alaska license (temporary license available in ~6–8 weeks)
Full vaccination required (including COVID)

Credentialing:

Approximately 8 weeks

Additional Information:

Posted rate includes both clinic and call coverage
