Aya Locums is seeking a Neurosurgeon to provide ongoing coverage at a Level II trauma center in Alaska. This opportunity blends clinic, OR, and call responsibilities while working alongside a tight-knit, multidisciplinary team in a dynamic and high-acuity environment. No license? We can help!

Assignment Details:
• Start Date: June 2026
• Contract Length: Ongoing/indefinite need
• Schedule: Standard day shifts with required call coverage
• Shift: 5x8-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) during assigned week
• Call: One full week (7 consecutive days) per month, including one weekend
• Call Details: Beeper call with 20-minute response time; call-back a few times per week
• Privileging Timeframe: Approximately 8 weeks

Work Details:
• Specialty: Neurosurgery
• Board Requirement: ABNS/ABMS certification required
• Patient Volume: ~10 patients per clinic day; up to 3 OR cases on operative days
• Case Mix: Elective and urgent neurosurgical cases; ~2–3 urgent OR cases per week
• Call Volume: ~2–3 consults per night while on call
• Patient Population: All ages
• EMR: Cerner

• Inpatient and outpatient neurosurgery within a Level II trauma center (adult and pediatric coverage)

• License: Active Alaska medical license (temporary license available; 6–8 weeks processing)
• Board Certification: ABNS/ABMS required
• Experience: Comfortable managing a full scope of neurosurgical care, including trauma and on-call responsibilities
