Position: Physician – Neurosurgery

Contract Length: Ongoing

📅 Assignment Details
Schedule: Mix of clinic, OR, and call
Call: 24/7 shared coverage
Coverage Model: Elective + trauma + on-call consults
🏥 Practice Setting
Facility: Level II Trauma Center
Team:
2 Neurosurgeons (0.75 FTE each)
2 APPs
Patient Population: All ages (adult + pediatrics)
🩺 Work Details
Clinic Volume: ~10 patients/day
OR Volume: Up to 3 cases/day
Urgent OR Cases: ~2–3/week
Call Volume: ~2–3 consults/night

Elective neurosurgical cases
Trauma coverage
Inpatient consults and urgent OR cases
👥 Support Staff
1 nurse (with 1 vacancy)
2 schedulers
2 CMAs
APP support for shared coverage
✅ Requirements
Board Certification: ABNS/ABMS required
Vaccination: Full vaccination required (including COVID)
⏱️ Credentialing & Licensing
Privileging: ~8 weeks
AK Temporary License: Available (6–8 weeks)

• 26 weeks with option to extend
• On call required
