Job Title: Neurosurgeon – Locum Tenens
Location: Flagstaff, AZ
Duration: Short‑term coverage blocks (dates listed below)
Schedule:
24‑hour beeper call coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
On-Call Requirements: Yes — 24‑hour beeper call
Board Certification Required: Yes (Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery)
Setting: Acute Care Hospital / Level I Trauma Center
Patient Population: Adults only
EMR: Cerner
Support Staff:
24/7 neurosurgery PA support for postoperative care and follow‑up
Trauma service and hospitalist teams manage admissions

Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30 days
Procedures Include:
High‑acuity neurosurgical trauma cases only (no elective cases)
Average ~6 surgeries per day
Cranial and spinal trauma surgery
Intracranial hemorrhage and acute neurotrauma management
100% adult trauma population
Busy Level I Trauma environment

Equipment & Technology Available:

Operative microscopes (Zeiss and Leica)
Cranial and spinal navigation (Stealth)
Two O‑arm platforms
Implant vendors primarily include Globus and Medtronic
Other vendors may be used with advance coordination
