Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
Providers Needed: 1–2
Schedule & Coverage Expectations:
· Guaranteed 8 hours per day
· Overtime applies after 9 hours per day
· Weekdays:
– Clinic & call coverage from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (billed at regular hourly rate)
– Night call from 5:00 PM – 8:30 AM (billed at night call rate)
· Weekends: 24-hour call coverage
· Provider may not be in clinic all 5 weekdays during coverage blocks, but it is possible
Coverage Dates:
· May 17–25
· June 1–8
· July 3–10
· July 20–27
· August 17–24
· September 21–28
· October 26 – November 2
· November 9–16
· December 21–28
· December 28 – January 4, 2027
· Additional dates may be offered
Practice Details:
· Practice setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
· Trauma level: III
· Patient population: Adult
· Average patients per shift: 5
· EMR: Epic
Case Mix & Skills Required:
· General adult neurosurgery and trauma
· Complex spine cases
· Spinal surgery with instrumentation (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)
· Spinal surgery without instrumentation (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)
· Placement of ICP monitors
· No airway certifications required
Requirements:
· Board Certified or truly Board Eligible (within 3–5 years of residency)
· Active California medical license required
· Active California DEA
· Minimum of 2 years current hospital-based neurosurgery experience
· FLUORO certification required (temporary FLUORO accepted)
