Job description

Aya Locums is seeking Neurosurgery physicians for an ongoing locums opportunity in California, beginning May 2026, with multiple coverage blocks available throughout the year.

Assignment Overview
Scheduled clinical hours plus call
Weekday clinic coverage approximately 8:30a–5:00p
Night call after clinic hours
24-hour call coverage on weekends
Guaranteed daily clinical hours
Potential for additional dates beyond those listed

Clinical Environment
Adult patient population
Mix of inpatient and outpatient care
General neurosurgery and trauma coverage
Spine cases (with and without instrumentation)
Strong APP and MA support
Epic EMR

Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurosurgery
Active California license required
Minimum of 2 years of current hospital-based neurosurgery experience
Comfortable with spine and trauma cases

Additional Notes
Credentialing timeframe approximately 60–90 days
Long-term opportunity with recurring coverage needs
