Physician - Neurological Surgery

Job Details:
• Coverage dates: November 21 - December 8 and December 27 - January 5
• Provide inpatient and outpatient neurological surgery services with approximately 5 patient encounters per shift
• Clinic and call schedule: 8:30am-5:00pm weekdays with night call coverage 5:00pm-8:30am
• Weekend coverage includes 24-hour call responsibilities
• Handle complex spine cases with instrumentation required for cervical, thoracic, and lumbar procedures
• Perform spinal surgery both with and without instrumentation
• Manage general adult neurosurgery and trauma cases
• Experience with VP shunt procedures preferred
• Placement of ICP monitors required
• Application of external traction preferred
• Tumor experience preferred
• Must be Board Certified in Neurological Surgery
• Active California medical license required
• DEA registration required
• FLURO certification required (temporary FLURO acceptable)
• Must provide 100 cases within past 24 months during privileging process
• Requires 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in specialty
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
• Long-term lodging available with monthly budget of $3,500
