Job description

This is a neurosurgery clinic-and-call opportunity at an acute care hospital in Eureka, California, with specific coverage dates of November 21-December 9 and December 27-January 6. On weekdays, the provider is in clinic and on call 8:30a-5:00p, followed by night call 5:00p-8:30a, with 24-hour weekend beeper call coverage; hours are guaranteed at eight per day, and the provider may not be in clinic all five days. The assignment runs approximately 13 weeks, and travel is provided.

The physician will see complex spine cases, and no airway certifications are required. Documentation and privileging are handled through the facility's standard process.

Candidates should be Board Certified - or truly Board Eligible within three to five years of residency - in Neurosurgery, with an active state license, a DEA, and FLURO (fluoroscopy) certification (temporary FLURO acceptable). Credentialing requires documentation of 100 cases within the past 24 months specific to the privileges requested, along with a current CV including hospital affiliations.
