Neurosurgeon – Oakland, CA | Level I Trauma Call

Position Details
24-hour call, either 6a–6a or 7a–7a
Looking for 5–10 shifts/month
Weekday & weekend availability required
20-minute response time
Call-only position with inpatient rounding
No clinic or elective surgery responsibilities
Level I Trauma Center
APP support 7a–5p
General Surgery residents take first call 5p–7a and may assist in the OR
Interpret CT/MRI findings involving the brain & spine
EVD and ICP monitor placement
Emergency Neurosurgery coverage
Craniotomy/craniectomy for traumatic pathology
Cervical, thoracic & lumbar stabilization for unstable spine fractures
Approximately 90-day credentialing
