This is a well-established, comprehensive medical center offering advanced neurological care services within a robust healthcare network. The facility operates as a Level II Trauma Center with a dedicated Neurocare unit, providing strong institutional support and resources for neurosurgical providers.

Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Neurological Surgery

Job Details:

• Board Certified Neurosurgeon needed to provide locum tenens coverage 5-7 days per month, ideally 5 consecutive days
• Coverage includes outpatient clinic, operating room, and call coverage
• All in-house coverage within the Neurocare unit
• Responsible for timely answering of Transfer Center calls and ER calls
• Must document and record patient plan in chart within 30 minutes
• After-hours calls beginning at 5PM for outpatient cases with phone response required
• Provide sign out and hand off to incoming physicians
• Cover emergency and urgent neurosurgical cases
• Non-emergent cases to be directed to BMG surgeons
• Patient encounters per shift vary
• Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric facility
• Active Florida license or IMLC required
• Board certification required with ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 60 days
