Neurosurgeon Locums – OH | 24-Hour Beeper Call Coverage

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neurosurgeon for a locum tenens opportunity in Mansfield, Ohio. This assignment is focused on hospital-based beeper call coverage with strong support from the existing neurosurgery team.

Assignment Details:
Coverage Dates: August 7, 2026 (7:00 AM) – August 12, 2026 (7:00 AM)
Schedule: 24-hour beeper call coverage
Coverage Need: Ongoing need averaging approximately 10 days per month
Call Structure: 24-hour call with 4 hours gratis

Practice Setting:
Hospital-based coverage
326-bed facility
EMR: Epic
Adult patient population only

Clinical Responsibilities:
Inpatient rounding and patient monitoring
Average daily census of 10–12 patients
Hospital call coverage and neurosurgical consults
Support Team: Rounding RN, Physician Assistant, Existing Neurosurgeons available for assistance with rounding and post-operative follow-up when onsite

Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
Active Ohio license required (IMLC accepted)
DEA required
Minimum 1 year of experience

Additional Information:
Emergency credentialing available
Strong support structure in place
Opportunity for additional ongoing coverage beyond the initial assignment dates
