Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a Board Certified Neurosurgeon for an ongoing locums opportunity in Canton, Ohio! This position offers 24-hour call coverage, a combination of cranial and spine cases, and a supportive inpatient environment at a Level II Trauma Center.

Opportunity Highlights:

24-hour call shifts: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM

In-house coverage during the day and beeper call after hours

Holiday coverage blocks available

Ongoing PRN coverage opportunities

No outpatient clinic responsibilities

No primary admitting responsibilities

Approximately 0–1 callbacks per shift

Level II Trauma Center

Epic EMR

APP, hospitalist, and intensivist support

Dedicated OR block time available

Local candidates only

Clinical Scope:

Cranial and spine coverage

Craniotomies and craniectomies

Spine interventions

Trauma and emergency neurosurgical consultations

Intracranial hemorrhage management

Elective and emergent surgical procedures

ED and ICU consultations

Approximately 5–10 calls or consultations per shift

Requirements:

Board Certified in Neurosurgery

Active Ohio medical license required

Ohio Controlled Substance Registration required

DEA registration required

BLS and ACLS certifications required

Approximately 3 years of neurosurgical experience

Comfortable independently covering cranial, spine, and trauma cases

Available for 24-hour call coverage
