Dually-Trained Neurosurgeon Needed in Charleston, SC | 24-Hour Call | Stroke Intervention | PRN

Job description

This is a PRN neurosurgery and neuroendovascular call opportunity at a Level II trauma center in Charleston, South Carolina, providing coverage for the permanent physician's PTO, CME, and call support. Coverage is 24-hour call, ongoing, averaging roughly four days per month. Sample dates include August 21–24 and September 4–8, 2026. This is not a local role — candidates within 50 miles should not be submitted.

The physician provides 24-hour call for Emergency Department neurosurgical consults, trauma call, and acute stroke interventions, averaging 6–10 consults or calls per day and varying with acuity. There is no APP or mid-level support, and documentation is in eClinicalWorks (eCW).

This role requires a physician dually trained in Neurosurgery and Neuroendovascular Surgery; neurointerventional radiologists are not eligible. An active state medical license is required, and COVID-19 vaccination is required (medical or religious exemptions only).
