Locums Neurosurgeon Needed in VA – 24-Hour Inpatient Call

Job description

Schedule:
• 24-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:00 A
• ASAP
• Weekly coverage blocks:
○ November 2–9
○ November 9–16
○ November 16–23
○ November 23–30
○ November 30–December 7
○ December 7–14
○ December 14–21
○ December 21–28
○ December 28–January 4
• Coverage also requested for the weeks of October 19 and October 26

Clinical Details:
• Acute care hospital, inpatient neurosurgery
• General neurosurgery, spine, and cranial procedures
• Average daily caseload of 5–7 patients
• 7 operating rooms
• EPIC EMR
• Support staff includes 2 flexible physicians and 1 PA
• Covers hospital call and phone-only transfer consultations for a second location
