Neuro Hospitalist – Springfield, Oregon

Position Overview

* Provider Type: MD/DO

* Specialty: Neuro Hospitalist

* Start Date: November/December (ASAP with standard credentialing)

* Credentialing: Approximately 90 days

* FTE: 1.0

* Assignment End Date: February 12, 2027, with potential extension

* Reason for Opening: Coverage gap

* Setting: Inpatient

* Facility Size: 36 beds

* EMR: Epic

Schedule

* 9-hour day shifts: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, fully onsite

* 15-hour night shifts: 4:00 PM–7:00 AM

* Onsite from 4:00 PM–10:00 PM, then telestroke coverage

* Must return onsite for stroke alerts

* Coverage needed Sunday–Monday

* Call required

Clinical Responsibilities

* Inpatient rounding and admissions

* Neurological patient population

* Average of 12 patients per day

* No required procedures

* Day shifts supported by an NP/PA

* Provider will work independently overnight

Requirements

* MD/DO

* BLS and ACLS (AHA or American Red Cross)

* Active license not required at submission

Clinical Experience / Case Log Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate inpatient or outpatient clinical activity relevant to the requested privileges, including at least 80 patients within the past 24 months, OR successful completion of an accredited hospital-affiliated residency, clinical fellowship, or research within the past 24 months.

Acceptable documentation includes:

* Recent residency logs or a program director attestation for applicants coming directly out of residency.

* Quality profiles from hospitals or clinics documenting clinical activity over the past 24 months for applicants not applying directly from residency. Profiles should include procedure volume, when applicable.
