JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking two experienced Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers (NPs or PAs) to support an inpatient cardiology service. Providers will primarily assist physicians with inpatient rounding, patient follow-ups, discharge planning, and post-procedure care.

Responsibilities:
✔ Participate in inpatient cardiology rounds alongside physicians.
✔ Manage cardiology follow-up patients.
✔ Provide discharge instructions and patient education.
✔ Manage post-procedure patient care.
✔ Support inpatient and outpatient cardiology services.
✔ Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to provide quality patient care.

Patient Volume:
✔ Approximately 20–25 patients daily.
✔ Approximately 80% inpatient and 20% outpatient.

SCHEDULE

✔ Target start: January 2027.
✔ Work two weeks per month.
✔ Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off.
✔ Sunday–Saturday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM.
✔ No overnight shifts or on-call responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS

✔ Board certification required.
✔ Minimum 3 years of cardiology experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
✔ Active Michigan license required at submission.
✔ Current ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
✔ Clean background with no malpractice or licensing issues.
✔ Acute care training preferred.
✔ Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
✔ No procedural skills required.

Certifications: AANP or NCCPA
Additional Requirements: BLS, ACLS, and DEA.

TRAVEL AND CREDENTIALING

✔ Approved domestic airfare and lodging.
✔ Rental car or mileage reimbursement, but not both.
✔ Local candidates requiring mileage reimbursement will be prioritized.
✔ Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90–120 days.
