Schedule & Coverage

The CNM will rotate between two outpatient clinics and the main hospital L&D unit.

Weekly Structure:

Monday: 24-hour onsite L&D coverage (with facility-employed MD)

Tuesday: Half-day clinic (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM) – Laurinburg

Wednesday: Full-day clinic (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) – Pembroke

Thursday: Full-day clinic (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) – Laurinburg

Friday: Half-day clinic (8:00 AM – 12:30 PM) – Pembroke

Call Details:

24-hour onsite L&D call on Monday only

No weekend call required

No beeper or call-back call

Call is restricted to onsite L&D coverage

Practice Setting

Hospital and hospital-owned outpatient practices

Rural OB/GYN environment

EMR: Epic (required)

Patient Volume

Half-day clinic: 6–10 patients

Full-day clinic: 15–20 patients

Average 2–3 deliveries per 24-hour shift

Patient population: Primarily adults; some OB/GYN patients under 18

Support Staff

Clinical and clerical clinic team

L&D nursing staff

Each clinic location also has an NP who sees GYN patients

Routine prenatal care

GYN visits

Labor & Delivery management

Comfortable managing a busy office and L&D floor in a rural setting

Requirements

Certification: Board Certified through AMCB (CNM) – required

Licensure: Active North Carolina license

DEA: North Carolina DEA required

Certifications: BLS required

Experience: Seasoned provider only (no new grads)

EMR: Epic experience required

Screening: Clean background; Name clear + NPI required
