Midwife Needed in North Carolina

Job description

Midwife Needed in North Carolina:
-Start Date: March 2026
-Contract Length: 6 months with option to extend
Coverage Details
CNM will rotate between two clinics and the main hospital L&D.
Includes clinic coverage + onsite call.
Call is a 24-hour onsite L&D shift (with facility-employed MD on Mondays).
No weekend call required.
No beeper/call-back — all call is onsite.
Clinic Schedule
Tuesday: Half day (8a–12p) – Laurinburg (post-call)
Wednesday: Full day (8a–4:30p) – Pembroke
Thursday: Full day (8a–4:30p) – Laurinburg
Friday: Half day (8a–12:30p) – Pembroke
Work Details
Support: Clinical/clerical staff + L&D nurses
Setting: Hospital + hospital-owned practice
Patient mix: Routine prenatal + GYN
Each clinic location has an NP who sees GYN patients
Patient volume:
6–10 patients (half day)
15–20 patients (full day)
2–3 deliveries per 24-hour shift
Patient population: Primarily adults, some under 18 OB/GYN
EMR: EPIC (required)
Requirements
Board Certified CNM (AMCB required)
BLS required
NC DEA required
Must be experienced (no new grads)
Comfortable in rural OB/GYN setting with busy clinic + L&D
Clean background; name clear + NPI required

-Credentialing Timeframe: ASAP
-Active NC License
Medical malpractice insurance, travel, and lodging provided
