Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) – Outpatient & L&D Coverage – Allen, TX

Contract Length: Ongoing
Schedule:

Must be able to work 4–10 shifts per month or full time

Day shifts with in-house L&D coverage

No call

Job Duties:

Independently manage and provide full-scope outpatient midwifery care, including comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services

Collaborate with OB/GYNs, RNs, LCSWs, health coaches, lactation counselors, childbirth educators, and other specialists

Provide day-to-day expertise and leadership on Labor & Delivery, including in-house clinical coverage

Triage and care for emergent obstetric patients, working collaboratively with RNs and OB/GYNs

Provide first assist surgical support

Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Attend skills training and drills for high-acuity/low-frequency events

EMR: CareConnect One

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years’ experience managing intrapartum, postpartum, and OB triage in a hospital setting (preferred)

Active AMCB certification

Current RN and APRN license in TX

NRP and BLS certifications required by start date

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to thrive in a collaborative OB/CNM practice

Additional certifications preferred: Obstetric Ultrasound, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, Lactation Consultation

Must value patient preferences, shared decision-making, and holistic care

Allen, TX

Outpatient clinic with Labor & Delivery coverage
