Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife for a full-scope inpatient midwifery practice in Texas beginning November 2026. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling with both 12-hour and 24-hour in-house shifts in a collaborative Labor & Delivery environment supported by onsite OB/GYN coverage and a Level III NICU.

Assignment Details

Start Date: November
Coverage Need: 3–7 shifts per month
Shift Options Available:
12-hour day shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
24-hour in-house shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
In-house call coverage only

Practice Setting

Full-scope inpatient midwifery practice
Approximately 1,300–1,500 annual births
Level III NICU onsite
24-hour in-house OB/GYN physician support
EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities

Labor and delivery management
Intrapartum and postpartum care
OB triage coverage
Postpartum patient management
Well-woman gynecologic exams across the lifespan
First assist responsibilities required
Collaborative inpatient obstetric care in hospital setting

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of full-scope midwifery experience required
Minimum 2 years of recent first assist experience required
First assist experience must be within the last 2 years
Board Certification required
Active Texas license required
Active Texas DEA required
