Certified Midwife Locums Opportunity in Texas

Job description

Aya Locums is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) for a flexible inpatient opportunity supporting a high-volume labor and delivery service at an established women’s health program in Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who thrives in a collaborative hospital environment and is passionate about delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Schedule:
-3–7 shifts per month
-12-hour or 24-hour in-house call shifts available

Practice Details
-Full-scope midwifery practice
-Inpatient call coverage
-Manage and support patients throughout labor and delivery
-Provide postpartum care and hospital-based OB triage coverage
-Perform well-woman gynecologic exams across the lifespan
-First Assist responsibilities required
-Level III NICU onsite
-24-hour in-house OB/GYN physician support
-EMR: Epic

Ideal Candidate
-Candidates should have experience managing intrapartum, postpartum, and OB triage patients within a hospital setting and be comfortable practicing independently within a collaborative care model.

Qualifications
-Minimum of 2 years of full-scope midwifery experience
-Minimum of 2 years of recent First Assist experience
-First Assist experience must be within the past 2 years
-Board Certified
-Active Texas Medical License
-Active Texas DEA
