Locums - Women’s Health/OBGYN APP Opportunity in California – Outpatient Only | Procedures Required | Local Candidates Preferred

Position Overview
Established outpatient Women’s Health practice seeking an experienced APP for full-time clinic coverage. This opportunity is ideal for providers comfortable managing routine gynecologic and obstetric care independently in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Assignment Details

Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Contract Length: Through August/September with possible extension
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
One-hour lunch daily
No call responsibilities

Practice Setting

100% outpatient clinic
Adult and adolescent patient population (13+)
EMR: Epic (required experience)

Patient Volume

Average 18–21 patients per day
Typical scheduling structure:
15-minute follow-ups
30-minute new patients and procedures

Clinical Responsibilities

Confirmation of pregnancy visits with bedside ultrasound
Initial OB visits
Routine prenatal care
Postpartum visits
Incision checks
Well Woman Exams across all age groups
Problem-focused gynecologic visits including:
UTI/STI evaluation
Menopause and HRT management
Breast pain evaluations

Procedures Required

IUD insertion and removal
Nexplanon insertion and removal
I&D of cysts
LEEP procedures
Colposcopy
Endometrial biopsy (EMB)
Cryotherapy
Cervical polyp management

Requirements

Board Certification required
Unrestricted California license required
DEA required
BLS or ACLS required
Minimum 2 years of experience required
Strong outpatient Women’s Health experience required
Epic experience required

Credentialing

Estimated timeframe: 45–60 days
