The facility features a 26-bed department with strong provider support and access to Family Medicine residents, offering a collaborative and dynamic clinical environment.

Opportunity:
Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology - Generalist

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens coverage needed for up to 10 days per month, with a minimum of 3 consecutive days per assignment
• Hospital-based only; 24-hour call shifts with up to 6 hours of rounding in the facility
• Must include at least one weekend coverage block (Friday 7am - Monday 7am)
• Round on patients during the day, accepting attached and ER patients during shift, including underserved patients
• ER call includes GYN emergencies
• 6 patient encounters per shift
• Must be board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active Alabama license or IMLC required to bid
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 30 days
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Manage low and high risk pregnancies
• FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE required
• OB Ultrasounds - performance and interpretation required (Level I and Level II)
• Amniocentesis required
• Routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, low forceps, and decision-making for c-sections
• C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs required
• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations required
• Surgical gynecology required including open, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor, and operative/major procedures (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's)
