Locum OB/Gyn Need Alaska

Job description

25 bed facility in Ketchikan Alaska has a need for a Locum OB/Gyn
-Must have current AK license
-Need is one week per month for 6 months
-24 hours Call for 2-3 days stretches with a day of clinic (8a-5p) in between
-◊ Dates of Coverage: April 13 start for 6 months (4/13 orientation and 4/14 first shift)
◊ Shifts/Schedule: clinic 8a-5p plus call
◊ Call: 24 hours – 2-3 days stretches with a day of clinic in between
◊ Call requirement approx.: 7 days of 1st or 2nd call. 24 hour call for labor and delivery/ED
◊ Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
◊ # of beds: 25 (5 labor and delivery)
◊ Rounding and admissions
◊ Demographics: primarily adult, some peds/geriatric
◊ PPD/Census: 10 clinic and 0-2 labor and delivery
◊ Procedures Required: Full scope, general OB GYN; No expectation for scheduled surgeries unless another hand or first assistant is needed.
◊ Number of Providers Per Shift & Support Staff: There is always a second OBGYN on call, 24/7 ED and hospitalist
◊ EMR: EPIC required
