# OB/GYN Physician – Call Coverage

**Credentialing:** Emergency credentialing available in approximately 5 days

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified **OB/GYN physician** to provide call coverage at a hospital in Alaska. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing both low- and high-risk obstetric and gynecologic cases, including routine and complicated deliveries and a broad range of OB/GYN procedures.

* **Patient Volume:** Approximately 5 patients per shift
* **EMR:** Cerner/Athena

Required Clinical Skills

The physician should be experienced with:

### Obstetrics

* Low- and high-risk pregnancy management
* Fetal heart rate interpretation, including NST, CST, and FSE
* OB ultrasound performance and interpretation:

* Level I/screening, including viability
* Level II/targeted anatomic studies
* Amniocentesis
* Routine vaginal deliveries
* Low-forceps deliveries
* C-section decision-making
* Complicated deliveries, including:

* Cesarean sections
* Breech presentations
* Multiple births
* Abruptions
* VBACs
* Repair of 3rd- and 4th-degree lacerations

### Gynecology

* IUD procedures
* Cystoscopy
* Colposcopy
* Cryosurgery
* LEEP
* Surgical gynecology, including:

* Open procedures
* Diagnostic/minor laparoscopy
* Tubal ligation
* Lysis of adhesions
* Other minor laparoscopic procedures
* Ectopic pregnancy management
* Oophorectomy
* Cystectomy
* Extensive lysis of adhesions

* **Board Certification:** Required; true Board Eligible candidates will be considered
* **Alaska Medical License:** Required

* **Only providers currently licensed in Alaska will be considered**
* **DEA:** Required
* **BLS:** Required
* **PALS:** Required
