This facility is seeking an OB/GYN Hospitalist Physician for locum tenens coverage beginning ASAP.
Opportunity Details

ASAP start
24-hour in-house shifts
Hospitalists provide emergent GYN coverage
Backup support for Certified Nurse Midwives and Family Practice providers
OB/GYN ED call available as physician backup
Circumcisions not required
CNMs serve as first assist when needed

Labor & Delivery Program

4 OB triage bays
8 Labor & Delivery suites
2 OB operating rooms
2 PACU beds
11 antepartum/postpartum rooms
Special Care Nursery for infants 32 weeks and older
6 NICU beds
Level II NICU support within the unit

Facility Highlights

Approximately 1,294 annual deliveries
Current model functions as a triage-based call coverage program
Expected OB Hospitalist encounters: 9.4 patients per day
Approximately 192 annual OBHG deliveries
In-house anesthesia coverage
Cerner EMR
No residency program
Maternal-Fetal Medicine not onsite; patients are stabilized and transferred as needed
