OB/GYN or FP-OB – 24-Hour OB Call Weekend in Eastern Arkansas (Dec 26–29)

Job description

Location:
Eastern Arkansas – community on I-40, ~45–50 minutes west of Memphis, TN

Assignment Type:
Inpatient OB Call Only – Locum Tenens

Dates & Schedule:
• Dec 26–29, 2025
• 7:00 a.m. Friday through 7:00 a.m. Monday (continuous 24-hr call)
• No clinic duties

Practice Setting:
• Community acute-care hospital with Level IV trauma designation
• Dedicated birthing center with private L&D suites and OB-focused nursing support
• Inpatient only – covering L&D, OB triage, and emergent Gyn

Clinical Details:
• Avg. 5–7 patients per shift
• Bread-and-butter OB with the expectation that provider can perform C-sections independently if needed
• Mix of laboring patients, triage calls, and postpartum issues
• Small-town, relationship-based environment rather than high-volume tertiary care

Ideal Candidate:
• OB/GYN or Family Medicine with OB
• Comfortable as the primary C-section provider and managing typical L&D emergencies
• Enjoys rural/community OB and being the “go-to” doc for the hospital
• Interested in a focused 3-day call block around the holidays rather than long stretches of shifts

Requirements:
• Board certified
• Active Arkansas medical license and Arkansas DEA
• Minimum 2+ years of independent OB practice preferred
• Able to complete standard name-clear and credentialing (typical timeframe ~90 days for full privileging).
