Locums OBGYN Laborist needed in CA

Job description

Coverage: 24-Hour Call
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: Ongoing

Schedule:
• Mix of 12-hour and 24-hour shifts

Practice Details:
• Laborist role – inpatient coverage
• 10–15 patients per shift
• EMR: Cerner
• Support staff: Medical Assistants
• OB department beds: 3

Clinical Scope:
Full-scope OB/GYN including:
• Low & high-risk pregnancy management
• FHR interpretation (NST, CST, FSE)
• OB ultrasound (performance & interpretation)
• Deliveries and operative deliveries (including forceps)
• Cesarean sections and decision-making for C-sections
• Complicated deliveries including breech, VBACs, multiple births, and abruptions
• Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• Minor office gynecology (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP)
• Surgical gynecology including laparoscopic and open procedures
