SUMO Medical Staffing is recruiting experienced OB Hospitalists (MD/DO) for a per diem locum tenens opportunity in Palm Springs, California. This role offers 24-hour in-house coverage in a highly supported L&D environment, with the added benefit of a desirable location near hiking and Joshua Tree National Park.

Position Details
- Assignment Type: Per Diem
- Coverage Need: Approximately 3–5 shifts per month
- Schedule: 24-hour in-house shifts
- NICU Level: III
- Capacity: Approximately 30 deliveries per month; 30-bed unit
- Scope of Practice:
• Delivery attendance
• OB triage
• Patient evaluation and management
• Surgical assists
• Fetal monitoring
• Emergency Department coverage
• Maternal-Fetal Medicine collaboration (MFM on site)
- EMR: Not specified (facility supported)

Requirements
- Active, unrestricted California medical license
- DEA in hand
- Enrolled in California Medicaid
- Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology (or truly BE within 5 years of training)
- Minimum experience: 1–2 years
- Case logs required:
• At least 100 deliveries in the past 24 months
• At least 25 GYN cases in the past 12 months
- BLS and ACLS (AHA) required
- COVID vaccination required
- CV required in MM/YYYY format with all 30+ day gaps explained (work and education)
