The facility features a Level III NICU and maintains 24/7 anesthesia coverage with a dedicated team of specialists.
Opportunity:
Physician - OB/GYN
Job Details:
• Provide 24-hour in-house hospital call coverage from 7:30a-7:30a with 6-8 call shifts per month
• Handle deliveries averaging 60-65 per month with 25-30% C-section rate
• Serve approximately 2.2 deliveries per day primarily involving low-risk, underserved populations
• Provide coverage for OB Emergency Department as part of hospitalist role
• Perform vaginal deliveries and assist with C-sections as required
• Monitor patients on Pitocin and remain onsite during entire shift when patients receive contraction-inducing medications
• Assist with any urgent OBGYN cases that arise while on-call
• Work with Cerner EMR system and collaborate with ultrasonographer and anesthesia team
• Must have recent laborist experience rather than primarily gynecologic or aesthetic background
• Board certification highly preferred, truly board eligible accepted
• Requires active California medical license, DEA, BLS, and ACLS certifications
• Clean malpractice history required with Self-Query NPDB report mandatory at presentation
• Bilingual providers strongly preferred for diverse patient population
• Local candidates from greater Bay area preferred
• Available to start immediately upon credentialing with 6-month anticipated coverage need
