About the facility

This on-site facility provides inpatient, clinic, and OR-based obstetric and gynecologic services to an adult patient population. The facility maintains fewer than 300 beds and holds a Level II Trauma designation. Established clinical protocols and structured workflows support continuous care delivery across all assigned coverage periods.

Central California offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor and cultural attractions suited to varied interests. Opportunities include visits to national parks, hiking, rafting, whale watching, and scenic drives, as well as wine tasting, farmers' markets, and access to additional natural destinations. Coastal areas along the Central Coast provide beach access, family-friendly activities, and local culinary traditions, including the long-running Pismo Beach Clam Festival.

About the clinician's workday

Clinicians will provide full scope obstetric and gynecologic coverage across inpatient, clinic, and OR settings on a day shift basis with 24-hour call responsibilities. Clinical responsibilities encompass the full range of OB and GYN cases, with an expected volume of approximately 65 deliveries per month and 3 deliveries per day. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment, and continuous availability is expected throughout each designated coverage period. Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required, and an active state medical license must be held prior to assignment; the credentialing timeframe is estimated at 45 to 60 days.
