Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Obstetrics and Gynecology - Laborist, Obstetrics and Gynecology

Job Details:

• Provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology laborist coverage with 10-15 patient encounters per shift
• Provider must be able to supply 100 case logs immediately upon engagement
• Availability required starting in December and on an ongoing basis for continued coverage needs
• Per hospital policy, providers are required to wear hospital-issued scrubs while on duty
• Hospital policy requires natural nails only; artificial nails of any kind are strictly prohibited
• Manage low risk pregnancies and perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
• Perform OB ultrasounds including Level I/Screening (viability) with performance and interpretation capabilities
• Conduct routine deliveries including vaginal and low forceps
• Perform decision-making for c-sections and execute c-section procedures
• Manage complicated deliveries including breech presentations and abruptions
• Perform repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Provide office and minor gynecology services including IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP procedures
• Perform surgical gynecology services including open procedures, laparoscopic diagnostic and minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOA's, chromotubation), and operative/major procedures including ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOA's
• Board certification required (minimum board certified)
• Active California medical license required; must be licensed in CA only
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 30-60 days
