# OB Hospitalist – Obstetrics & Gynecology

## Position Overview

We are seeking a **Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN physician** for a full-time **OB Hospitalist** opportunity in Colorado. The physician will provide comprehensive in-house obstetric and gynecologic care in a collaborative hospital-based environment, working alongside experienced Certified Nurse Midwives and an established OB/GYN support team.

## Clinical Responsibilities

* Provide comprehensive in-house obstetric care.
* Manage labor and deliveries.
* Evaluate and manage patients presenting to obstetric triage.
* Provide gynecologic consultations.
* Perform emergent gynecologic surgical procedures as appropriate.
* Evaluate and manage acute obstetric and gynecologic clinical issues.
* Collaborate with Certified Nurse Midwives and OB/GYN physicians.
* Work closely with the Level II-B NICU team for higher-acuity newborn care.
* Maintain high-quality, patient-centered care in a hospital-based setting.
* Utilize Epic EMR for clinical documentation and care coordination.

## Practice Environment

* Hospital-based OB Hospitalist service.
* Approximately **140 deliveries per month**.
* Level II-B NICU supporting newborns delivered at approximately 31 weeks' gestation and beyond.
* Experienced CNM coverage on every shift.
* Dedicated OB/GYN backup available.
* Fully integrated Epic electronic medical record system.

## Qualifications

* MD or DO degree.
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in **Obstetrics & Gynecology**.
* Colorado medical license or ability to obtain.
* DEA registration required prior to start.
* Clean malpractice history highly preferred.
* Must meet applicable credentialing requirements.
* Current NPDB Self-Query Report dated within 30 days required at presentation.
