Facility:
This opportunity is based at an 868-bed tertiary academic center and flagship hospital within one of the most comprehensive and integrated health care systems in Connecticut. The facility features newly renovated and expanding inpatient and ambulatory operating rooms with five DaVinci Robotic Surgical Systems, a state-of-the-art simulation center, and an extensive 24/7 backup system. The multi-disciplinary team includes OB/GYN generalists, specialists in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, MIGS, Urogynecology, Gyn Oncology, Complex Family Planning, and Gender Health, along with Certified Nurse Midwives, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Genetic Counselors.

Physician - OB/GYN - Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS)

Job Details:

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday role providing surgical and ambulatory care in a collaborative team environment
  • Practice within a fully integrated EMR system (Epic) connecting all providers across the network
  • Perform minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries including procedures for chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, and fibroids
  • Participate in gynecology service coverage, surgical procedures, and ambulatory care
  • Obstetrics is not mandatory for this role
  • Engage in independent clinical decision-making regarding the health care of individuals, families, and groups across the lifespan
  • Support outpatient clinical care across multiple office locations including West Hartford, Glastonbury, Southington, and possible expansion into South Windsor
  • Provide holistic, quality, and cost-effective care for a diverse patient population in a supportive and collegial environment
  • Opportunity for involvement in research, education, quality improvement, safety initiatives, and hospital and university committees
  • Applicants must possess an MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and hold or be eligible to obtain a Connecticut Medical License
  • Board certification or active candidacy for board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required
  • Completion of a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) or a similar program, or extensive MIGS experience, is required
  • Fluency in Spanish or other languages beyond English is highly desirable but not required
