This hospital is part of a comprehensive healthcare network serving the greater Atlanta metropolitan area. The facility provides full-service women's health care with strong midwifery support and maintains partnerships with several regional medical centers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
• Seeking 2 Women's Services physicians to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care
• Coverage includes extended hours with 10-hour workdays Monday through Friday (not necessarily consecutive)
• Weekend call coverage and Saturday office coverage 8am-5pm may be required
• Manage average total census of 10-15 patients including actively laboring patients, postpartum, gynecology patients, and floor consults
• Work collaboratively with midwifery team who handle most deliveries (80-90 deliveries per month)
• Handle 18-24 patient encounters per shift with no unattached/unassigned coverage
• Epic training required every other week 8am-4:30pm (must be completed after credentialing and before starting)
• Provide care for low and high risk pregnancies with FHR interpretation capabilities
• Perform OB ultrasounds including Level I and II with interpretation
• Handle routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, cesarean sections, breech, multiple births, and abruptions
• Manage VBAC deliveries and repair 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• Provide office/minor gynecology services including IUD placement, cystoscopy, colposcopy, and LEEP procedures
• Perform surgical gynecology including open and laparoscopic procedures
• Must be board certified with active Georgia medical license
• BLS certification required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
