Job description

South Georgia Medical Center is seeking OB/GYN Hospitalists to provide inpatient women's health coverage through its established OBHG TRIO program.

Assignment Highlights:

Start Date: ASAP
Inpatient hospitalist coverage
Respond to Rapid Response Team activations
Consultation and referral coverage as needed
No procedural requirements
No first assist responsibilities
Ability to provide backup support to other physicians when needed
No Pulmonology or Critical Care responsibilities

Facility Details:

157-bed acute care hospital
Level I ICU
In-house anesthesia coverage available
EMR: Meditech Expanse 7.0
No ERCP services
Teaching environment with physician residency program support

Patient Volume:

Approximately 14 hospitalist deliveries annually
Approximately 180 annual patient encounters
Delivery totals include hospitalist-managed deliveries

Ideal Candidate:

Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN
Comfortable providing inpatient obstetric care and consultations
Team-oriented physician interested in a collaborative hospitalist model
Experience managing obstetric emergencies and responding to rapid response situations preferred
