Locums OBGYN Needed in Indiana (24 hour call coverage, 1-2 shifts per quarter)

Job description

Contract Length: vacation coverage, ongoing coverage once or twice per quarter
Schedule: 24-hour beeper call, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Clinic details
Practice Setting: Hospital-based OB coverage only (no clinic)
Patient Volume: Oct 2025- 30 births, Nov 2025- 21 births, Dec 2025- 29 births, January 2026-33 births. Callback frequency varies based on delivery volume
Support Staff: Efficient, experienced staff—particularly strong C-section support
Cases/Procedures: Should be comfortable responding to unscheduled OB presentations. No expectation of managing scheduled high-risk cases during coverage dates. Routine and emergent OB coverage, including:
• Vaginal deliveries
• Cesarean sections
• OB call coverage for planned births and walk-in presentations
High-Risk OB: High-risk cases are managed onsite when needed; however, staff providers proactively plan vacations around known high-risk deliveries. No scheduled high-risk cases are expected during locum coverage.
