Schedule

24-hour solo coverage (7a–7a)

Vacation/short-term coverage, ongoing once or twice per quarter

Hospital-based OB coverage only (no clinic)

Provider responds to routine and emergent OB cases

Call coverage: beeper model

Setting

Acute care hospital

Support staff: Efficient OB team with strong C-section support

Practice Setting: Hospital-based only

Clinical Scope

Vaginal deliveries

Cesarean sections

OB call coverage for planned births and walk-ins

High-risk OB: managed by staff; locum not expected to manage scheduled high-risk cases

Volume & Call

Monthly deliveries: ~21–33 depending on month

Mix of vaginal deliveries and C-sections
