Position Overview

We are seeking a **Board-Certified OB/GYN Hospitalist** for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity providing **24-hour in-house call coverage** in a busy inpatient hospital setting. This role includes Labor & Delivery coverage, OB/GYN consults, inpatient rounding, and care for unassigned patients. Overnight sleep accommodations are provided on-site.

**Assignment Details**

* **Position Type:** Locum Tenens
* **Schedule:** 24-Hour In-House Call (8:00 AM – 8:00 AM)
* **Coverage:** Weekday availability required; weekend coverage welcomed
* **Call Schedule:** 1:5 rotation
* **Credentialing:** Approximately 30–90 days

**Practice Highlights**

* Level III Trauma Center
* Average **65–80 deliveries per month**
* Mix of low-risk and high-risk obstetric patients
* Collaborative team of physicians, Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs), and dedicated Labor & Delivery staff
* Resident support available during call
* On-site laboratory and ultrasound
* **Cerner EMR** (transitioning to Epic)

**Responsibilities**

* Labor & Delivery triage and deliveries
* Inpatient OB/GYN rounding
* Emergency Department OB/GYN consults
* Care for unassigned patients
* Perform routine and emergency obstetric and gynecologic procedures
* Optional circumcisions (not required)

**Qualifications**

* Board Certified in OB/GYN (ABOG or AOBOG)
* Active Iowa Medical License or IMLC Letter of Qualification
* Current Fetal Monitoring Certification
* Clean malpractice history
* Recent NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days)
* Two professional references (including one supervisor)
* Eligible for hospital credentialing
