This healthcare facility is a community-based medical center serving the Iron Mountain region, providing essential women's health and obstetric services to the surrounding Upper Peninsula population. The facility features a 10-bed department with a supportive team environment and a manageable delivery volume of approximately 319 deliveries annually.

Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens opportunity providing occasional call and clinic coverage with shift times of 6pm-6pm
• Assignments are 7-10 days in length with preferred coverage dates of 8/28-9/3 or 9/14-9/20, 12/7-12/13, and 12/21-12/27
• Provider will see a limited number of clinic patients for prenatal visits while covering call on weekdays
• Patient encounters include approximately 12 clinic patients per shift with 1-2 hospital patients
• Manage low risk pregnancies and perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
• Perform routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, low forceps, C-sections, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
• Decision-making for C-sections required
• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations required
• OB ultrasounds (Level I and Level II) preferred, including performance and interpretation
• Amniocentesis preferred
• Office and minor gynecology procedures required, including IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP
• Surgical gynecology required, including open procedures, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures, and operative/major procedures such as ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOA's
• Board certification required with BLS certification
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 60 days
