This is a well-established, hospital-based health system serving the greater Lansing area as a Level I Trauma Center, providing comprehensive and advanced medical care to the community. The facility utilizes Epic as its documentation system and offers strong institutional support for its providers, including travel and lodging reimbursement for locum assignments.
Opportunity:
Board Certified / Board Eligible - Gynecology Oncology
Job Details:
- Full-time, hospital-based Gynecologic Oncology coverage in Lansing, MI
- Average of 20 patients in clinic per day; 3-4 OR cases per day when in the OR
- Perform clinic and in-patient consults
- Perform GYN cases as required
- Provide discussion of chemotherapy oversight, currently transitioned to medical oncology
- 100% adult patient population
- Call ratio of 1:4
- Level I Trauma Center designation
- Documentation via Epic EMR
- Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Gynecologic Oncology required, with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Active Michigan State Medical License required; IMLC or compact license not accepted
- BLS, ACLS, and DEA certifications required
- Clean malpractice and license history required
- Copy of NPDB self-query required at presentation, pulled within 30 days
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90-120 days; temporary privileges are not available
- Facility reimburses flights, lodging, and rental car/fuel or mileage billed at the IRS standard rate
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
